The Guangdong Provincial Government established the Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship to attract outstanding international students for undergraduate and graduate studies at Guangdong Province's universities.

South China Normal University (SCNU), as one of the key comprehensive universities, accepts international students under this government scholarship.

Applicants who have graduated from world-renowned universities, sister universities, or who have been recommended by senior professors or experts will be given priority consideration. SCNU will select the admission list and screen candidates for the scholarship through a panel of experts. Admission will be determined based on the applicants' application documents, academic performance, overall merits, research accomplishments, and supervisor comments.

The Purpose and Benefits of Undergraduate Scholarship

Subsidy for one-time payments: $4,699 per person for doctoral students,$3,132 for master's students, and $1,466 for bachelor's students.

• Winners of this scholarship will be given preference in the next round of scholarship applications.

Qualification Requirements for Undergraduate Scholarships

Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the scholarship:

1. Non-Chinese citizens in good health must apply.
2. Applicants should submit an application for undergraduate or graduate study.
3. Applicants for undergraduate studies must have a senior high school diploma or higher education and be under the age of 30.
4. Applicants must have received an excellent rating in their previous studies and must choose an appropriate discipline based on his/her interests and academic background, as well as a well-prepared study or research plan.
5. Applicants must be self-sufficient students. This application is not open to those who have received other scholarship awards.

The applicant is responsible for paying all tuition and fees. The scholarship will be awarded as a one-time payment to the scholarship winner's account.
